Tear-Off & Haul-Away for Old Siding in Purdys, NY
We strip off worn-out siding with care for what's underneath, then clear every scrap from your property so you're left with a clean slate.
What Our Siding Tear-Off Process Looks Like
Pulling off old siding takes more skill than most people expect. Done carelessly, it can gouge the sheathing beneath it or leave a yard buried in debris for days afterward. Harbor Ridge Exteriors offers removal and disposal to Purdys, NY homeowners either as its own service or bundled into a full replacement, and we bring the same level of care to tear-off that we bring to putting new siding up.
We work our way across the exterior methodically, taking down panels and trim in a controlled sequence that protects the wall structure underneath instead of ripping material free without a plan. This step matters because tear-off is the one moment in a siding project when the entire wall assembly is exposed — rush through it and you risk damage that costs more to fix than the removal itself.
As old panels come off, we sort and stage the debris right away instead of letting it pile up around the yard. Landscaping, walkways, and outdoor fixtures near the work zone get covered and protected, and before we call the site clean we run a thorough sweep for stray nails and small fasteners, which are one of the most common — and preventable — hazards left behind after a tear-off.
When the removal is finished, we load up and haul away every bit of the old material, so there's no need for homeowners to book a separate dumpster or hauling service. If the removal is the first step of a bigger replacement, we go straight into checking the exposed sheathing and framing and noting anything that needs repair before new siding goes up. Harbor Ridge Exteriors has been removing and disposing of old siding across Purdys, NY for more than 15 years, and our crews give every property the same careful treatment, whether it's a full replacement or a standalone tear-off.

Siding Removal & Disposal FAQ
Hauling and disposing of the old material is included in our service, so there's no need for you to book a separate dumpster or hauling company.
Careful removal shouldn't harm sound sheathing or framing — in fact it gives us a chance to spot and flag any existing damage that needs to be addressed before new siding goes on.
For an average single-family home, removal on its own generally takes one to two days, though the exact timeline depends on the home's size and the type of siding coming off.
